Our Story

Handy Pantry Friendly Food Stores began serving the Suffolk County community in 1976, when our first location opened in Nesconset, New York. For nearly five decades, our family-owned and operated business has grown to 11 locations, all dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and a convenient shopping experience—without the long lines of a supermarket.

At Handy Pantry, we take pride in offering a wide selection of fresh, high-quality products. Our Deli Department features Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, freshly prepared salads, and made-to-order meals and snacks. Our Coffee & Tea Bar brews fresh coffee and tea throughout the day to keep you going. We also provide fresh fruits and vegetables, a full line of dairy products, pantry staples, frozen foods, bakery items, beer, and more.
